Developing skills for a Circular Water Economy |
 |
How do we equip future professionals for the circular water economy? Partners of the CIRSAU project (including the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)), will organise a hybrid workshop on ‘Skills for a Circular Water Economy’ on 31 October 2025. Join other young and senior professionals from academia, industry, utilities in mapping out the competencies for the next generation of water leaders.

Promoting the inclusion of women in technical areas of the water sector |

The National Association of Water and Sanitation Entities of Mexico (ANEAS) presented the “Pink Helmets” initiative promoting the inclusion of women in technical areas of the water sector during the National Water Congress (CONAGUA 2025), held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Driving innovation in water challenges |

The Argentine Chamber of Water (CAA), in partnership with the National University of Cuyo, hosted HackathonH2O, bringing together students, professionals, and entrepreneurs to co-create solutions for real-world water challenges. Participants proposed innovative approaches for water supply and management challenges demonstrating how cross-sector collaboration and open innovation can accelerate progress in water efficiency, sustainability, and social impact.

Eau de Paris launches its third participatory budget |

Following the success of the first two editions, Eau de Paris (EdP) is launching its third participatory budget. With a budget of €250,000, innovative projects led by non-profit organisations and associations can be supported with the purpose of involving Parisians in building a clean and inclusive future for drinking water.

The Argentine Chamber of Water (CAA) is expanding its international cooperation efforts in Africa to help deliver safe water while fostering health, economic development, and sustainable community-led management of water resources. CAA invites interested parties to contribute with knowledge and expertise.

After decades of dedicated service, impactful research, inspiring teaching, invaluable mentorship, and outstanding leadership, both professor David Butler and professor Slobodan Djordjević will be retiring from the Centre for Water Systems (CWS) of the University of Exeter.

With South Africa’s water under pressure due to rising demand, climate stress, and limited resource, water needs to be used more wisely. The Water Research Commission (WRC) launched its "Water Wise Nation" initiative to help drive education, innovation, and action so that every drop counts.

IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute (IVL) signed a partnership agreement with UNICEF to help advance global efforts to ensure sustainable and resilient water and sanitation services. The focus of the collaboration is on strengthening sector governance and climate-resilient WASH.
